8 Unit Apartment in Palm Desert

Back in July, we represented a 8 unit apartment building in the Palm Desert region of Riverside County. The property was initially purchased in 2006 for over $1,200,000. Through the application for changed assessment we had filed in 2009, we were able to secure a reduction on this property. When we were contacted to represent this parcel, the owner was already able to work out a reduction to $852,000, which is great! However, as is often the case, CAPTA was able to get a further, deeper reduction. After discussing this case with the Assessor’s office, we were able to secure a reduced assessment to $740,000 or $92,500/unit. This was a great value, especially considering the area there in Palm Desert! An additional $1,200 for our client.
